The showcase features three to four local songwriters, each sharing their unique stories through music. Whether you're a music enthusiast, a lover of lyrics, or simply looking for a great night out, grab some friends and come support a rotating roster of local artists and non-profits.

The Neighborhood Songwriters are committed to communty. As a part of our dedication to the community that sustains us, we donate half of the proceeds from each event to various local non-profits on a rotating basis. Your attendance not only empowers these gifted artists but also supports important causes, infusing every note and chord with a deeper sense of purpose. Through shared commitment, we can create a meaningful impact and foster unity within our community.

Winterfest Bonfire

On December 6th, as part of the Fairhaven Firelight Stroll festivities, Stones Throw Brewery will extend its beer garden, creating a cozy atmosphere with tents, the Galley2Go food truck, and a large bonfire. Guests can indulge in our specially made Winterfest Ale, a lovely beer bursting with the flavor of holiday spice. $1 per pint of these beer sales will be donated to the Fairhaven Association to help with the lighting of the Fairhaven Village during the dark months. There will also be delicious Gluhwein, hot cocoa, and S’mores provided by the Girl Scouts, making it a delightful experience for all ages.

On October 25th, join us for a fun-filled day of beer, pumpkin carving, and community spirit as we prepare for the annual downtown Historical Fairhaven Trick-or-Treating. Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided.

Bring your friends and family to carve pumpkins that will be illuminated from October 25th through Halloween night where we hand out candy to the little ones and quench the thirst of the grown-ups.

Voting for your favorite pumpkins will be open from Saturday, October 25th to Thursday, October 31st. Don’t miss your chance to cast your vote! Also, come dressed in your costume on Halloween, and you’ll receive a dollar off on all your pints!

Free Harmony

Chuck Dingée and Sharon Mayson’s beautiful vocals are what make Free Harmony unique and a treat to listen to. They started singing together in 2017 and have been busy entertaining people in the Northwest ever since. They are joined by Lee Pence on lead guitar. Together they play an entertaining mix of songs ranging from the 60s to present, by artists like Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, Emmylou Harris, John Denver, Indigo Girls, The Police, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Bonnie Raitt, and many others. In March 2019, Free Harmony was opening act for the band America at the Tulalip and Legends Casinos in Washington state.

She’s joined by Bob Paltrow, a classically trained pianist, songwriter, and longtime Bellingham musician whose genre-spanning style blends folk, jazz, rock, funk, blues, and more. A veteran performer and multimedia artist, Bob has written over 300 original songs and also plays with Cats Like Us.
