Come share your poetry or cheer on local poets at the all-ages Bellingham Qualifier Poetry Slam! Win over the audience in this fun-spirited, audience-judged poetry contest, or cheer on the competitors. Top two poets win $40 and the chance to represent Bellingham in a regional poetry slam downtown for $500 in prizes. To compete, bring 3 poems of 3 minutes or less in length.

Over a lifetime a girl’s just gotta express her fire — and Jasmine Greene comes at you with a gas can in one hand and a zippo in the other. Inspired by powerhouse vocalists from Queen, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, and Fiona Apple, Jasmine lights up the stage and magnetizes the crowd with a complete command of rhythm that makes every set feel electric.

Born in Washington and steeped in influences ranging from Nirvana to Neko Case, Jasmine studied music and dance from childhood and has been channeling that artistic fire ever since. The band’s sharp, versatile takes on everything from Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” to Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now,” The Black Keys’ “Lonely Boy,” and Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain” consistently pack the dance floor. Expect a wide, crowd-pleasing mix of dance music, rock, blues, pop, and ballads — all delivered with skill, groove, and pure entertainment.

The current lineup features John Biondolillo on drums, Tristan Currin on guitar, and Scott Vaillancourt on bass, rounding out a tight, talented group that offers swanky grooves and a soul-striking sound.

Smile Aisle is a jazz group out of Bellingham, Washington led by guitarist Ben Meyer. The concept of this project is to play music that is melodic and easy to listen to, while also being subtly complex and technical, in a configuration suited for the most intimate spaces. Focusing on the music of the Pat Metheny Group, Smile Aisle aims to showcase this selection of instrumental deep cuts as a key ingredient for a perfectly relaxed and social environment.

Get into the holiday spirit with Evergreen & Ale: Wreath Making Workshop with our very own Flora Lori! Join us at Stones Throw for a hands-on evening of wreath making, where you’ll create your own festive evergreen wreath to take home. No experience necessary!

$50 per person includes all greenery, wire, ribbon, other supplies, and one beverage. Lori will provide everything you need to make your wreath, but you’re welcome to bring your own ribbon or personal touches like ornaments, pinecones, dried fruit, or other decorations to make it uniquely yours.

Lori will have a limited number of wire cutters available, so if you have a pair at home, please bring them along!

The showcase features three to four local songwriters, each sharing their unique stories through music. Whether you're a music enthusiast, a lover of lyrics, or simply looking for a great night out, grab some friends and come support a rotating roster of local artists and non-profits.

The Neighborhood Songwriters are committed to communty. As a part of our dedication to the community that sustains us, we donate half of the proceeds from each event to various local non-profits on a rotating basis. Your attendance not only empowers these gifted artists but also supports important causes, infusing every note and chord with a deeper sense of purpose. Through shared commitment, we can create a meaningful impact and foster unity within our community.

Electric & slide guitarist, singer and songwriter Jill Newman returns to Stones Throw for the Women in Song Series. Jill’s third original album, Little Bit of Luck, was nominated as the best blues recording 2026 by the Washington Blues Society. Jill will be joined by Seattle’s Stacy Jones, an award-winning vocalist, harmonica player, guitarist and songwriter. Stacy and her band were the finalists in the International Blues Challenge for the Washington Blues Society and will be heading to Memphis for the worldwide IBC competition in 2027. Jill and Stacy will share blues and Americana songs from their original albums and some well-known covers.

Delta Promenade plays acoustic blues from the 1920's-1940's, featuring classic blues players like Mississippi John Hurt, Blind Blake, Robert Johnson and Blind Boy Blake. Each tune comes with a short history and lots of room for dancing and singing along.

The Sharon Mayson Trio blend Americana Rock covers with powerful original songs. Sharon’s rich vocals and engaging stage presence are backed by exceptional musicianship from Diane Leigh and Chip Westerfield. Together, they deliver heartfelt, uplifting performances throughout the Pacific Northwest.

In addition to the being the home of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, United Way of Whatcom County pays the costs of book printing and shipping so that local kids can receive a brand new, age-appropriate book in the mail each month from birth to age five— at no cost to families.

Stones Throw will be donating 10% of brewery profits from 5–9pm on November 30th to United Way of Whatcom County. Come raise a glass to Dolly and support United Way in getting all of our community’s kids kindergarten ready!

On December 5th, as part of the Fairhaven Firelight Stroll festivities, Stones Throw Brewery will extend its beer garden, creating a cozy atmosphere with tents, and a large bonfire. Guests can indulge in our specially made Winterfest Ale, a lovely beer bursting with the flavor of holiday spice. $1 per pint of these beer sales will be donated to the Fairhaven Association to help with the lighting of the Fairhaven Village during the dark months.
